ZapOrScrap is a leftovers tracker for your phone. Snap a photo of the container, tap how long it should last, and the app counts it down. Zap means you ate it. Scrap means you tossed it.

Common questions

Where are my photos?
On your phone, and only there. ZapOrScrap has no account, no cloud, and no way to go online. Deleting the app deletes everything it ever saved.

Why did an item disappear?
Expired items clean themselves up 48 hours after their date, photo and all. That is by design, so the app never hoards storage.

I am not getting reminders.
Alerts arrive near lunch or dinner when an item is on its last day. If you see none, check that notifications are allowed for ZapOrScrap in your phone settings.

Is my food safe to eat?
ZapOrScrap is a reminder tool, not a food safety authority. The dates are the ones you choose. When in doubt, trust your eyes and nose.
